Thank you for visiting our website!

This website and ministry is focused on speaking truth to whomever will listen. John 8:31-32: “So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

We are living in difficult times. The moral fiber of our country is weaning. The spiritual acuity is at an all-time low. Christ is hated and the very mention of His name appalls people. There are false prophets on every turn and the gospel is so watered down from the pulpits that church has grown into a club rather than the called-out ones Christ redeemed for His purpose.

I’m reminded of the days of the captivity of Israel and Judah from the Babylonians. God sent Ezekiel to speak only what He determined to say. Listen to…
Ezekiel 3:27: “But when I speak to you, I will open your mouth and you shall say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ Whoever will listen let them listen, and whoever will refuse let them refuse; for they are a rebellious people.”

In both cases the Lord desires for His people to listen to Him, get right, and be about what He is about. What is Christ about? Getting the message of the cross, the message of His love, the message of forgiveness to every ear and let a decision be made.

My name is Curtis Stackpole, and I have had the honor to preach the gospel for over 25 years. I received Christ as my savior at the age of 10 and have tried to follow Him until this day and to His imminent return.

Discovering Jesus Through the Gospel of Mark

So many Christians today are asking this one question. “In light of the times that we are living, how do I know if I’m living the way God the Father wants me to live?” To be sure that is a good question. Of course, there is a lot of self-help books today that can give an answer to that. Modern preachers teach lesson after lesson on the subject but leave the most important ingredient out of the answers. What is that? Jesus of course. The answer is so simple. If we spend time in God’s Word and kind of look over His shoulder while He lived His life, we can compare that to what we are or are not about.

Nothing excites me more than to discover something new or perhaps remind me of something I learned years ago concerning Jesus. Ephesians 5:1-2 says,Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.” How can we be imitators of God if we don’t have a clear idea of what that looks like? Watch God’s Son.

This series will do just that. Follow Jesus in His travels and life and learn from Him. Mark doesn’t cover everything Jesus did as written in the other gospels so from time to time we will, use a tool called the Synoptic Gospels to fill in other experiences of Jesus. We will learn to ask every day, “What similar opportunities do I have to be like Jesus? Am I about what Jesus was about?” (listen to the series)
